Tori's Magical Silver!

As referenced in recent episodes.

More About Why Suspiria Scares Us

Allow this post to accentuate your experience listening to Katya and me as we wax hilarious about the not-so-much-with-the-dancing ballerina witches and the exploits of the undercover coven (undercoven?) in Argento's Suspiria.

Let's start with the creepy-ass theme song by Goblin.  Check it out:

The stained glass that so impressed Katya.  With poor dead Pat.

Suzy by the irises.  I want to live in this room.

Why does this witch have to work in the kitchens?  Where'd she get that magical prism?  What's the deal with Joan Bennett's spooky nephew?  Plot points ... doesn't matter ... DOESN'T MATTER.

The girls in their makeshift dormitory.  Such red. All red.

More irises ("Turn the blue one!") and Joan "Madame Blanc" Bennett.

More Joan Bennett, looking amazing.

Check out the pins in Sarah's creepy dead eyes!

Witch stab!  (Look at those fingernails!)

Witch Stab, Part Deux.  Sayonara, Black Queen, Mother of Sighs!

WIIIIIIITCH!

Suspiria Scares Us

Hello Dear Listeners,

We hope you enjoyed our two part episode for episode 10! This week we are discussing the movie Suspiria. Released in 1977, Suspiria was directed by Dario Argento, and is the scariest movie that (maybe) shouldn't be scary.

Katya and Laramie talk all about how the inexplicable story of witches, ballerinas, and a ballet academy in the Black Forest of Germany create a story that will make your skin crawl. The use of sound, color, and fairy tale like story all play a part in this horror classic Also, Katya talks about how she would dress up various germs and diseases (no really) and Laramie coins a new term for witch snacks!

We sincerely hope the new year is treating you well!

A Little Taste of What's to Come ... (New Episode Premiering January 28th!)

So we'll be looking at ...

... witches!  No, not nice witches like Samantha, but wicked witches ...

...more wicked than Serena, even.

Maybe more like Angelique.  Or not, though Joan Bennett is involved ...

... or Dark Willow (who is emphatically not a Black Eyed Kid) ...

Yeah, that's closer.

Episode 11 debuts January 28th.

The Dyatlov Pass Scares Us - Part 2

Hi Dear Listeners,

Welcome to part 2 of episode 10! If you didn't have a chance, go check out episode 10 part 1. So, enjoy episode 10 part 2 where we discuss all our thoughts, theories, and ideas about what happened at the Dyatlov Pass.

Katya had so many answers and so much answer face for this part of the episode its pretty unreal. Aliens, avalanches, yetis, government conspiracies!?  Plus, Davey talks about radioactivity and isotopes (science). We change our minds all the time about what happened so write to us and let us know what you think happened!

Episode 10: The Dyatlov Pass Scares Us!

Okay, kitty cats, there's some disturbing content on this post, namely some mummified/frozen/possibly-Yeti-murdered real life people corpses.  So I'm going to just leave some space here, and if you want to skip this post, feel free.

Okay, here are some of the images of the poor unfortunate schmucks who got maybe UFOd, maybe yeti'd, maybe government'd, maybe all of the above at the Dyatlov Pass.

Here are the victims; now you can use this grid to sort out all the Yuris!

I'm not even gonna joke.  This makes me feel sad.  And afraid.  But mostly sad.

Nightmare.  The tent, cut open from the inside.

Okay.  Brace yourselves.  Here are some of the victims:

If you want more info, check out the Dytalov Pass website (click here).

ALSO ... I keep lamenting that there isn't a movie based on DPI, but turns out ... there is!

The Dyatlov Pass Scares Us - Part 1

Hi Dear Listeners,

Happy New Year, and thank you for joining us again!  We are releasing our 10th episode and couldn't be more excited.  This is by far the scariest episode we have ever done, and because it is so scary it is in two parts!  Fear not, though because we will be releasing part two in a week.

The Dyatlov Pass Incident is this week's topic and is it ever weird.  We run you through all of the things you need to know about one of the strangest happenings in modern history.  Missing tongues, eyes, radioactive bodies and mountains with foreboding names all make an appearance in this topic (we even scared ourselves a bit with this one)!

On a lighter note, we have a lot of fun at the beginning of this episode talking about some of our favorite things, and singing some of our favorite random songs.  We Love you dear listeners and we hope that 2018 is a wonderful year for you and yours!

Thanks for listening and stay tuned for part two next week!
